Role: Director of VA Customer Engagement (fulltime)
Position: Hybrid that might require in office twice a month
Responsibilities:
- Drive the full lifecycle of business development activities to build and manage a qualified and robust pipeline for Veterans Affairs (VA).
- Shape and secure prime opportunities and sub-contracts.
- Build and maintain customer relationships within VA to support a customer-focused approach to opportunity development.
- Lead agency account planning, business development strategy, Opportunity identification and qualification, and customer engagement plans.
- Engage in conferences and industry events.
- Develop and actively maintain sales forecasts across assigned accounts and lines of business.
- Lead business development staff and closely collaborate with shared resources to include corporate growth, capture, and proposal management
Requirements:
- 20 years of experience supporting the major Information Technology initiatives of the Department of Veterans Affairs and other federal health customers.
- Proven Business Development capabilities supporting Veteran Affairs opportunities.
- Those capabilities include driving customer engagement from Senior Level VA Leadership to program business owners, engaging partners in support of various pursuits, managing business plans, and marketing strategies in support of business growth across the respective market.
- Working knowledge of programs and priorities within the VA and experience with active programs associated with Veterans and military health care.
- Strong industry knowledge and relationships.
- A proven record of building business relationships built on trust, confidence, and results.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and lead relationship-building activities with Federal senior executives and leadership.
Compensation: Salary plus commission
